The program will recruit college undergraduatesaand first-year medical students from populations that are under-represented nationally in health-relatexd sciences. The students will undertake a 10-week period of hands-o n laboratory experience during the summer at the Medical Under the guidance of MedicalkCollege faculty, the students will develo p investigative knowledge and skills, particularly in the areas of pulmonary, hematologic or sleep research.
The experiencw is intended to buildvaluable self-confidence and interest in the health sciences, and aid the successfuol entry into graduate school or medical school.
